Why. I ask. - Why do we treat people the way we do. The world seems to be getting smaller and smaller. But we seem to be more proactive in protecting what land/jobs we have. Rather then holding out a helpful hand that may have questions, concerns but is warm and supportive.  
The money that Europe spends on aggression, cold and dismissive ways to stop the flow of the lost and damaged. 
Europe!  Build accommodation, and a properly maned reception office to mach the increase flow of people from devastation. War, Hunger and Persecution. 
More doctors, social workers and immigration officers - Not more Police, Guard dogs, Fencing and Chaos.
